Weak RF gave up multiple home runs, 2B and SS booted a few balls, they had a couple guys who could hit deep, but they also had a couple guys who struck out.

W 19-8, W 17-3.  The Clippers came out of the gate with two Ws.  Ed got the first win and Klubber got the second win.  Kayne racked up 4 HRs to right field on the night.

Train was in action last night. The fan base was glad to see him back, but there was some concern as he came up slightly hobbled after a game one sprint to first base. When questioned about the injury, L-Train's response was "No injury, just age, just getting old." Clearly, the Clippers are a team that is hindered by practice--we have a limited number of swings, throws, and sprints in our bodies...why waste them on practice. Everyone was pleased to see that the well-trained umpire crew from years back still remains in the Mpls leagues. It was duly noted though that their reign may be coming to a close as the ump for our game needed a cane to get from the field to the street (this is not a joke). Finally, given the state of the finely manicured fields at Nokomis, Matt has agreed to cover all medical expenses incurred by bad hops, undulating outfields, and 18 inch drop offs from the infield to the outfield. By the way, my daughters were very impressed with the tattoo of a softball on my chest that I was able to procure last night.

Almost all of them hit the ball to the left side of the infield.  #4 hit weak to 2nd base and #75 hit lazy shallow fly balls up the middle.  None of them hit the ball deep on us.  They had good range in the outfield and didn't make many mistakes.

W 18-16, L 1-20.  We had a great comeback in the first game, top of the 7th inning.  We scored 7 runs and took the lead and a nice double play in the bottom on the 7th finished it.  We only had 4 hits in the second game and the only run was Jupe's solo HR.  Defense was suspect as well.

T.C. Bombers

A group of older guys with a young great short stop.  He has a lot of range and hits the crap out of the ball.  2B thinks he is much better than he is.  Pitcher has a high arch and most of the pitches are deep.  Lots of slap hitters.

L 6-15, L 15-23.  We should have beat this team. We made tons of errors in the field and gave them a couple huge innings. Game 1: they scored 10 of the 15 runs in the 1st inning. Game 2: they scored 13 of their 23 runs in the last inning.

Hamm's Hit Squad

They didn't hit much to the infield so we moved to 4 outfielders and no second baseman.

W 14-8, W 18-9.  We played both games with 9 people: 8 guys and Jessi. We started with three outfielders and then moved to no second baseman since they were hitting everything to the outfield gaps. Jessi played first.

W 18-8, L 6-8.  The ump didn't show and we started out playing 1-pitch.  The score was tied 5-5 when the ump finally showed up and we switched back to the normal rules.  We couldn't get any offense going in the 2nd game.

W 17-11, W 12-11.  We played good defense and didn't give up the big innings this time.  We had a bit of a book scoring issue in the 2nd game and the other team was quite upset.  They made a surge in the 7th inning, but they stranded the last runner and came up short.
